The faces behind our success

  • Alison Hinde

    CEO

    Alison drives Proactively's strategic vision.

A former SHEQ manager, Alison implemented systems to manage risk and encourage responsibility. As an ISO auditor Alison gained an insight into how hundreds of organisations manage SHEQ, learning what works well and what does not. Alison has written research reports for HSE (UK Regulator) on developing engagement and safety culture. All this expertise is now an integral part of how Proactively product can help YOU.

Alison is a Chartered Member of IOSH

  • Sean Hinde

  • Edward Debrah

    HSE Professional, West Africa

Edward is based in Accra, Ghana.

He understands how organisations can use the Proactively tool to reduce incidents, meet legal requirements and work more efficiently. The offline capabilities make the tool particularly useful in areas where network coverage is not guaranteed.

Edward specialises in oil and gas, manufacturing, engineering and construction sectors.

Edward sits on the IOSH Environmental Group Committee. He is an Adjunct Lecturer at Radford University College.

Why our squirrel?

Squirrels represent the very essence of proactive behaviour.

They prepare for the future, gathering nuggets of information (well, ok food), storing them safely, and using them to ensure a happy future. Squirrels show agility, determination and ingenuity. They are sociable animals, full of fun, and you can often hear them 'talking' to each other.

Communicating and sharing what we learn is one of our objectives here at Proactively. We hope you agree that they symbolise this goal.

Fascinating fact: The squirrel only finds 10% of the nuts that he hides. However, the nuts he leaves behind are all primed ready to grow, producing a new generation of trees.

Working together to raise standards

Proactively aims to promote better EHS practices and provide a clear route for EHS managers to network with other professionals and improve their knowledge and skills.

Alison founded IOSH Swiss Network, which now has 80 companies networking and sharing ideas. We host webinars, provide communication channels to other members, and have face to face days. Whilst we are supported by IOSH (Institute of occupational Safety and Health), the Swiss Network welcomes anyone with a professional interest in Occupational Safety and Health. Our group is an enthusiastic, diverse mix of both IOSH Members and non-members coming from a wide variety of industry and public sectors.
