What is Proactively, and what can it do for me?

Companies that use paper and spreadsheets to manage their information often find it very inefficient.  It takes a long time to process data, they often find out things too late.  Also, the people who have to do the paperwork find it very boring and it wastes time. 

Digitisation is the answer.  Proactively is a system which uses a Mobile App instead of paper forms to collect information.  This could be many things: inspections, audits, spotting defects or hazards, or seeing a job well done.  Most people are carrying a mobile phone with them, and so the App is available all the time.  This means that you can

  • Report things quickly and easily where ever you are 
  • Your information is read by your manager.  He/ She can send you feedback to show they are listening and appreciate your efforts
  • Actions are tracked, so you know that something will get done.

The system knows who you are, so you can use more features like getting feedback and joining different teams. 

1. Set up your Proactively account

Use the invitation email to set up a secure password and use it to log into the Web Portal

2. Get the mobile App 

Install the Proactively mobile App from Google Play or the App Store and log into it with your password 

3. Open the App and choose a Form

Understand the different types of questions and how to get help.  

4. Fill in the form and send it

  • Understand the different types of questions and how to get help. 
  • Learn more about how your company will use the information, who can see it, and how to change it if you have made a mistake.  

5. Get feedback 

Know that someone is listening when you receive feedback directly to the mobile App 

6. Save unfinished reports 

If you are doing a long report, such as an audit, you can save a draft and finish it later

Use the QR code to quickly install the Proactively App and link it to the company.  Proactively does not record your name, and you are using the system anonymously.

Have a go

1. Install the Proactively App on your smart phone or tablet

2. Choose one of the forms that you will be able to use now.  Companies will have different forms depending on how they want to use the system.  You may have a Hazard Report form.  Look around your work area for hazards – perhaps things you could trip over, broken equipment.  Make it real, do not make it up.  For example, Job well done, or Hazard report.   Look around your work area for something to report.  

3. Fill in the form.  Notice the different question types.  There may be photos or signatures. 

4. Press ‘send’ to send your information into the system, or ‘cancel’ to delete the report and return to the front page.
